PING G440 Fairways:

The G440 fairways offer a re-designed face structure and low CG (Centre of Gravity) system. The face is 4% taller which helps provide golfers with more confidence at set up, giving players that piece of mind whether its off the tee or tight fairway lie. The face thickness has been optimised in both the heel and toe for more consistent performance on off-centre strikes.

There are three different options to choose from in the new G440 Fairways – the Max, LST and SFT. Each option is designed to fit a specific player type with a head profile engineered to provide launch conditions that best match a player’s swing.

PING’s MAX model is suitable for most golfers, and stands for MAX forgiveness. It’s available in five different lofts, to provide more gapping solutions, including a new 4 wood and goes all the way up to a whopping NINE wood!? Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!

The LST (Low Spin) model has a multi material low spin design, appealing to players with faster swing speeds, providing high launch and lower spin.

Finally the SFT (Straight Flight) is PING’s slice-correction option, which features a draw-favouring CG location.

The Tech:

Free-Hosel Technology – PING have removed 11.5 grams from the hosel, screw, and heel section of the MAX models, the weight savings help create a 4% taller face while maintaining CG height.
Taller Face Profile – The MAX face is 4% taller than its predecessor for more confidence off the tee while
maintaining a low CG position for high-launching performance off the ground.

Contoured Sole Design – Slimming down the back-weight profile ensures that the club sits flush to the ground and the face angle remains consistent no matter the loft or lie setting.
CarbonFly Wrap Crown – saves weight, which helps lower the CG, ensuring forgiveness and pleasing sound at impact.

Multi-Material design (LST ONLY) – A new High-Strength Titanium face combines with a lightweight Ti811 body, 85g tungsten sole plate and Carbon Fly Wrap crown to optimise weight distribution. This positions the CG lower and back in the head, allowing for faster ball speed with reduced spin for more distance.

Ping G440 Hybrids:

The G440 hybrid range offers the standard head but has a wide variety of loft options. Each loft option has a slight alteration to suit a wide variety of golfers.

The 2 Hybrid specifically has a slightly fade-biased shape for off-the-tee performance, whereas the 5, 6 and 7 hybrids are slightly draw biased to help optimise gapping.

All G440 Hybrids share a new, shallower and thinner face design, which improves face contact for more ball speed and higher-launching shots to help hold the green from distance.

A lower CG in the multi-material heads found in the LST fairway woods, also contribute to extra ball-speed.

The slimmer back weight allows for a more contoured sole design to ensure the club sits flush to the ground and the face angle remains consistent.
