Callaway Announce New Quantum Mini Spinner

Full details on Callaway's new top-of-the-bag club aimed at golfers who want more spin, control, and confidence from long range!

Callaway have announced the release of a new Quantum Mini Spinner, a top-of-the-bag club aimed at golfers who want more spin, control, and confidence when going after greens from long range.

Over the last few years we’ve seen the re-emergence of mini drivers both for amateur golfers and tour players, whilst Callaway were also the first brand to introduce a Utility Wood (UW) which bridges a fairway wood and a hybrid.

The new Quantum Mini Spinner is designed to sit between fairway woods and irons, and combines a compact, deep profile with a high-spin face to help players stop the ball quickly and hold their line on approach shots.

Many golfers struggle to control ball flight and spin with traditional fairway woods or hybrids, particularly when trying to attack pins from distance. Callaway designed the Mini Spinner specifically to solve that problem, giving players a club that behaves more like a long iron in terms of trajectory and stopping power, while retaining the forgiveness of a wood-style head.

The Tech

Optimized Spin Construction: At the heart of the Mini Spinner is a high center of gravity paired with an AI-optimized, high-spin face design. Together, these promote increased spin rates, stronger stopping power on the green, and tighter shot dispersion for more repeatable approach play.

Shorter Setup: The Mini Spinner’s playing length is 0.75 inches shorter than a standard fairway wood. This shorter setup encourages more consistent impact and greater control through the hitting zone.

Deep Face Versatility: A taller-than-usual face profile adds confidence at address and increases the usable hitting area, particularly helpful for shots out of the rough where clean contact is harder to find.

Step Sole Design: A sole design built specifically for this club, the Step Sole reduces turf interaction through impact, helping golfers find the center of the face more consistently.

Carbon Sole Construction (7W–9W): A lightweight carbon sole allows Quantum’s engineers to reposition mass higher in the clubhead, raising the center of gravity to boost spin generation — adding up to more control and stopping power on approach shots.

Availability

The Quantum Mini Spinner goes on sale on 14th August, with lofts of 21° (7W) and 24° (9W), each available in Regular or Women’s flex shafts.

It’s priced at $379.99 in the US, and £359 in the UK.
