Wilson have updated their Staff Model range for 2026 with two new and improved options, the Staff Model and Staff Model X.

These balls were first introduced back in 2020, and we were really impressed with their last iteration back in 2024. Wilson may not be the first brand you think of when it comes to the premium end of the golf ball market, but the performance spoke for itself.
The updated Staff Model lines see the four-piece balls offer more speed, control, durability and feel for golfers who want a premium ball. They’re also available with Wilson’s TRK360 alignment design. This offers more visual feedback particularly for use on the greens.
Both balls use a new V-COR technology. This offers a unique core construction, helping to generate maximum velocity off the club face. As a result, Wilson say that this produces the fastest ball speeds on the market according to their testing.
Wilson Staff Model 2026 Golf Ball
The Staff Model has a compression of 90, which is 10 less than the Staff Model X. Wilson say it’s designed for elite golfers, who want the performance of a Tour ball, but with a lower spin rate than a harder urethane ball.

The new model is said to provide better ball speed and distance. It also produces a spin rate of around 4% lower than a ‘harder’ premium urethane ball, with both drivers and irons.
The ball has a soft-compression rubber core, with a softer inner mantle to control driver spin. A harder outer mantle adds speed and distance. A thin, soft urethane cover produces higher levels of spin on approach shots.
There are 362 dimples in a ‘modified hexhedral’ pattern. This is designed to produce the optmimum ball flight, to maximise distance.
Wilson Staff Model X 2026 Golf Ball
Wilson call this the ‘world’s fastest urethane golf ball’. This time around there’s a softer feel and sound, as a result of feedback from their own tour staff.

This was achieved through a construction with a small, mid-compression core, a soft terpolymer inner mantle layer, extra stiff ionomer outer cover, and ultra-thin urethane cover.
Like the Staff Model, the Staff Model X has 362 dimples. However it’s a hexagonal seamless pattern, designed to offer optimum ball flight to maximise distance.
Both the balls use new eye-catching packaging, to match on-course performance. The Staff Model comes in a Graphite Box, with the Staff Model X in Champagne Bronze.
TRK360
Both Staff Model and Staff Model X balls come with the option of the TRK360 design. This offers 360-degree visual alignment lines, to help golfers aim more accurately at their target without being too distracting.

The side-seam stamp works as a training aid during putting practice, allowing golfers to work on achieving an end-over-end roll.

Available now, the Staff Model and Staff Model X balls are offered in White, Yellow and TRK360, at an RRP of £53.99 per dozen.
