Scotty Cameron Add Four New Phantom Black Putters

When you hear the name Scotty Cameron, the chances are your mind instantly goes to the kind of blade putter that Tiger Woods used to rack up lots and lots of victories worldwide. However their range these days is much more extensive than that, and the brand have recently released four new Phantom Black models for 2025.

Featuring a new Tour Black finish, the putters come with ‘tour inspired modifications and features’, along with custom alignment cues and unique shaft configurations.

Phantom Black 5.5

This is a wing-back shaped mid mallet, a model which is popular among both amateurs ad tour players including Justin Thomas. It retains the same jet neck as in previous models, along with a custom sight line. It will also be offered in a left-handed model.

Phantom Black 7

This also features custom alignment features, as well as a unique double bend shaft setup. Built with feedback from tour players, it promotes a precise setup and performs almost like a face-balanced model.

Phantom Black 9.2R

Coming as a result of feedback from tour players, the Phantom Black 9.2R features a custom sight line, more rounded features and a plumber’s neck based on the iconic 009 models.

This neck is shorter and moved further towards the heel, to make it easier to control the face compared to a stock neck.

Phantom Black 11

A face-balanced model, the Phantom Black 11 mallet is designed for high MOI, stability and forgiveness. The putter also features a mid-bend shaft and parallel sight lines, to make alignment as easy as possible.

The putters feature a new Tour Black finish, the result of a PVD treatment applied to the head. This results in a dark looks, helping to reduce glare.

Using chain-link face milling helps to reduce how much of the putter face is in contact with the ball. The texture helps to soften the sound. It also improves the roll characteristics, whilst preserving the sound and feel off the face.

The putters feature two customisable stainless steel weights to aid with performance. The 10 gram, 15 gram and 20 gram weights all match up with the different putter lengths. Each putter is set up with 3.5 degrees of loft, with a 70 degree lie angle.

Available from 25th July, the putters have a whopping SRP of £729. Each putter features a custom-designed Matador grip. There’s also a matching Phantom Black headcover and shaft band.
