Ecco are following up the launch of the BIOM C5 earlier this year with a new BIOM C5 Premium, building upon the success of a year that has seen them win a men’s major championship thanks to Aaron Rai.
Rai used the BIOM Tour shoes, but the new BIOM C5 Premium combine Ecco’s proven technologies with elevated materials, refined craftsmanship and fit precision, providing a new option for golfers who want the highest level of performance from their footwear.
Ecco say that combining stability, performance leather and a luxury BOA fit system means that they are able to offer comfort, control and confidence in all playing conditions.
As usual, the shoes are built using Ecco’s Natural Motion platform, keeping golfers close to the ground for better stability and movement, whilst the silhouette is said to be more ‘sophisticated’ than the standard BIOM C5.
The shoe comes with a Gore-Tex surround waterproof technology. This offers complete protection from the elements, with 360 degree breathability to keep your feet dry and comfortable in all weather.
Underneath, the Ecco E-TTS outsole provides stability and multi-directional traction. These provide confidence and comfort in wet, dry, sandy and muddy conditions, and on different lies.
Compared to the standard BIOM C5, the C5 Premium offers side stabilisers and a metal BOA Fit system. This system allows for precise fit and adjustments during the round to fine-tune comfort and performance.
The shoe’s anatomical construction, powered by Fluidform direct comfort technology, is designed to mirror the natural shape of the foot. It promotes a more natural movement, maintaining comfort throughout the duration of the round.
