29 years later, Callaway launches limited edition putters and balls to celebrate the highly anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel. The sequel, featuring Callaway and Odyssey products, will be released July 25th after filming began last September.

In the original film, which released back in 1996, Adam Sandler’s character “Happy Gilmore” was gifted the hockey stick putter by his mentor who was played by Carl Weathers, also known as “Chubbs Peterson”, just before the Tour Championship.
Odyssey Hockey Stick Putter
At 44 inches with a 57° lie angle, the Happy Gilmore putter resembles a driver more than a standard putter. A 21-inch grip makes it ideal for golfers wanting to try Happy Gilmore’s signature slap-shot putting technique.
Although you might love to use the iconic hockey stick putter, the sad news is that it will be banned in official golf tournaments as it does not conform to the rules of golf.

However, this restriction doesn’t stop you from using the Happy Gilmore-inspired putter in casual play.
Odyssey included their iconic White Hot insert into the putter, and it could possibly be the largest of its kind, as well as two extra inserts in the heel and toe.
As well as already having the iconic hockey stick putter, it also includes a custom Happy Gilmore tube sock as the headcover. The sock headcover also has some stitching on it saying “Happy” on one side and “Gilmore” on the other, as well as including the famed quote “just tap it in” taken directly from the original movie.

Callaway Chrome Tour Happy Gilmore 2 Balls
On top of releasing the putter and headcover Callaway is also releasing a limited-edition box of Chrome Tour golf balls, the same ball that Happy will be playing with in the long-anticipated sequel.

They will feature special hockey theme icons and quotes from the original movie printed on them.
“It’s so exciting for us to be part of one of the most iconic golf franchises and to be able to update the famous Hockey Stick Putter, as well as bring the exclusive Chrome Tour Balls to the market.”
Nick McInally, Callaway’s Vice President of Global Marketing.
Available now, the hockey stick putter has a total cost of £399, whilst the Chrome Tour balls cost £55 per dozen.
