Who? 27 year-old American Bryson DeChambeau.
What? The 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational, his eighth PGA Tour victory.
Where? Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Florida
How? Starting the final round one stroke behind Lee Westwood, DeChambeau continued his strategy of aiming to overpower the golf courses which hugely aggressive lines off the tee, including at the 6th hole where he drove the ball over the water towards the greenside bunker, leaving less than 100 yards in to the par 5. The lead changed hands a number of times with both players trading wayward tee shots and fantastic par saves, but DeChambeau made a gritty 6 foot putt back up the hill on the 18th green to clinch a one stroke victory.
Following the victory, DeChambeau said:
“Even when I don't have all the things I need to feel comfortable with my golf swing and with equipment, all the time, I was still able to perform and execute when the time came. And that was pretty exciting.”
