Who? 26 year-old American Bryson DeChambeau

What? The 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic, his sixth PGA Tour win.

Where? Detroit Golf Club, Detroit, Michigan.

How? Bryson has the most talked-about golfer on the planet over the last couple of months after his huge weight-gain during lockdown, designed to give him more power and distance. After top 10 finishes in his last six events, the American recorded his first victory of the season thanks to a stunning final round of 65, overtaking overnight leader Matthew Wolff. Wolff started poorly but recovered well on the back nine, although missed putts on the last two par 5s ultimately proved costly. DeChambeau averaged over 350 yards off the tee for the week, and is sure to be one of the favourites heading into the season's three belated majors.

Following the victory, DeChambeau said:

“I hope it's an inspiration to a lot of people that if they set their mind to it, you can accomplish it. It just takes a lot of hard work, a lot of figuring out things that you may not know and understand yet. But if you keep … working on it, figuring stuff out, eventually you'll get a little bit better each and every day, and hopefully that leads to something great in the end.”
