Odyssey Announce Two New Square 2 Square Max Putters

Zero torque putters have grown more popular in recent years, thanks to brands like L.A.B Golf leading the way. Odyssey joined the zero torque trend with their Ai-One Square 2 Square putters earlier this year. Now the brand has introduced two more zero torque putters: the Ai-One Square 2 Square Max 1 and Max Stripe. These new models are designed to compete with other high-MOI putters on the market.

What Is Zero Torque?

Zero torque putters reduce face rotation during your stroke and help you keep the putter face square. Odyssey’s Ai-One Square 2 Square putters use a centre-shafted, stroke balanced design to help the face stay square. This makes it easier for golfers to aim consistently and keep putts straight.

Odyssey claims the Ai-One Square 2 Square Max 1 and Max 1 Stripe are their most forgiving putters yet, offering an MOI over 6300 IZZ for added stability and forgiveness.

Odyssey Square 2 Square Ai-One Max Putters

The Tech

Ai-One Insert – Artificial intelligence shapes the Ai-One insert’s contours on an aluminum backer for better performance. A White Hot Urethane surface molded alongside it helps create consistent ball speed across the face while keeping the classic White Hot feel that golfers love.

Modern Centre Shafted Design – The design centres the shaft along the putter’s center of gravity, making it rest toe-up in a reverse torque position. This design helps the putter face stay square through the entire putting stroke.

Built-in Forward Press – A 3.3° forward shaft lean presets the hands in a forward press position automatically. This reduces face opening that can happen when golfers forward press themselves.

Standard, Cruiser, and Broomstick Configurations – The Square 2 Square putters come in Standard, Cruiser, and Broomstick models to suit different putting styles. The Max 1 and Max Stripe putters are offered in 33, 34 or 35 inches as standard.

SL 90/140 and 180 Shafts – Each putter pairs a specific shaft weight with the head weight and length for balanced performance.

Unique Navy Blue PVD Finish – A navy blue PVD finish was applied to give the putters a sleek, premium look. Jailbird models also feature classic Versa alignment.

Odyssey Oversized and Overlength Grips – Each putter was fitted with a grip based on its model. Standard uses Oversize, Cruiser uses Oversize 17”, and Broomstick uses a two-piece grip.
