The popular Titleist T-Series iron range has been updated again this year and is now into it’s fourth generation. The brand will be hoping that the new Titleist T100 2025 Irons can lead from the front with plenty of success on Tour to help them show off the new models.

They’re off to a good start too. Rising star Aldrich Potgieter won in his first start since putting the T100 irons in the bag – before they were even released!
I got my hands on Titleist’s new players iron to see how good they really are…
Who Are They Aimed At?
In short, these are for better players only.
There are four different models in the T-Series range, and the T100 are the most compact, with the weakest lofts. They’re aimed at precision and feel, for golfers who don’t need to worry too much about extra distance or forgiveness.

If you’re a good golfer who strikes the ball consistently and can generate good clubhead speed, these irons could be for you.
If you love the look of them, but feel you need something a little more forgiving, the T150 irons come in a similar package but with slightly stronger lofts to encourage more distance and ball speed.

The Tech
The T100 irons have been developed with feedback from Tour players. They’ve got a slightly new profile, as well as a focus on long iron launch and more consistency in the carry distances.
A variable bounce sole, combined with a forged construction, are said to provide a great feel off the face and through the turf.

Tungsten weighting and a dual-cavity construction help with stability and consistency of the ball flight, for predictable results.
There’s a new Variable Face Thickness design in the longer (3-7) irons. This helps to give a bit more speed and launch especially on off-centre strikes.

In the short irons, Titleist have added more ‘aggressive’ grooves. This design helps avoid fliers and improves performance when hitting in wet conditions or out of the rough.
In the 3 and 4 irons there is a new muscle channel. This is there to lower the CG, increasing both launch and peak height. It also helps to raise ball speed, avoiding any bunching with yardages towards the top end of the iron set.
This year, the lofts are are one degree stronger than the previous T100 iron. So if you’re upgrading from 2023 then you might see a marginal difference in yardages.
Titleist T100 2025 Irons Review
Looks and Feel
The T-Series as a whole looks great this year, and the same goes for the T100 iron. At first glance the design is very similar to the T150 irons, with the T100 being perhaps marginally more compact.

I love how simple the design is. There’s no frills or cluttered branding – it’s clean and classy. Exactly what you would expect from a brand like Titleist.
They look great behind the ball. The blade length is pretty compact, but they sit really nicely and square, and the topline is actually a good size. It’s not as thin as I thought it would be.

They feel great off the face – really soft with instant feedback. When you catch one out of the middle, it feels as good as anything I’ve tried, and it sounds good too.
That said, they don’t feel especially fast. Even compared to the T150, the stronger lofted model seemed to have a bit more pop off the face.
Performance
Using the GCQuad I compared the T100 up against the T150 irons. I also included the game improvement T350, to show just how much difference you’re likely to see between different models in the range.
As expected, the T100 saw the shortest carry distances and ball speed, with the highest spin. Having said that, the ball speed was pretty similar on average to the T150, with a higher peak height too, so getting the ball up and stopping on the green shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re someone who is looking for more control into greens, this is exactly what you want to be seeing.

My longest shot was up at 166 yards carry, similar to the T150 iron, but this dropped down to less than 152 yards on a mis-hit. This further shows that you need to be a consistent ball striker to get the most out of these irons.
Having said that, my left to right dispersion was the tightest with these irons, as was the variance in spin rates, so you’re getting really repeatable and predictable numbers when hit well.
On-Course Performance
Out on the course I felt like the irons were really accurate. Even if I didn’t get the distance quite right, I still felt like I wasn’t going to miss the ball miles left or right which was reassuring.

Titleist say that they have improved the performance from the rough this time around. I did find that the ball still launched nice and high out of the rough, and I didn’t see any fliers during my testing.
The short irons really are similar to the T150, in terms of looks and performance. I could easily see some golfers being able to combine the two sets together, with a bit more assistance towards the top end of the bag.

One area where I did struggle slightly was when hitting shots into the wind. The higher launch and spin rates made it feel like the ball reacted more than I was used to seeing.
After the first couple of instances I definitely had to be conscious about going up a club or even two when hitting into the wind.
Titleist T100 2025 Irons Verdict
The T100 2025 irons are an excellent product, which do exactly what better players would want them to do.

They look fantastic behind the ball, and the feel really impressed me too. The ball flight felt so predictable and you got out of it exactly what you put in. If you strike the ball consistently and have decent speed, you’re going to get the right results.
I didn’t find them completely intimidating, but I have to say I felt a little more relieved with the T150 in my hands on the fairways due to that little bit of extra help.

The RRP is nearly £1400, which isn’t cheap, but these are high quality irons that should last you for a few years, and I don’t think they’ll disappoint you.
Would I Use Them?
I would love to say that I’m good enough to use them, but I think I need a little more distance and forgiveness to help me out. I’ll stick to the T150/T250s for now!
