The FootJoy Pro/SL shoe has become a bit of an institution in the decade or so since it was first introduced. It’s one of the best-loved and highest rated spikeless shoes on the market, and really helped to convince golfers that spikeless shoes can still provide great performance.

The shoe has been updated again for 2026, as a result of direct feedback from Tour players and featuring lightweight comfort along with better connection to the ground.
FootJoy say that the new Pro/SL has been designed ‘from the ground up’ to provide the best possible performance from a spikeless model.

One of the key drivers for this is the new Z-Tec upper technology. This is a multi-layer construction that surrounds the whole foot, with targeted support and flexibility.

The design helps to transfer more energy more efficiently through the swing, to offer the golfer a better foundation to swing with freedom.
There’s also a new ARCTrax/SL outsole, built with strategically placed cones and fins on the sole to maximise ground contact.

This helps to enhance force and stability during the swing, whilst also providing better all-day walking comfort regardless of surface or terrain.
Compared to the previous Pro/SL the new model is 29% lighter, making walking and wearing them much easier.
The StratoFoam heel pad absorbs impact on every step, while there is a 3D padded collar and mesh lining for wrap-around comfort and fit.

A new wider toe box provides more room in the front of the foot, to help you interact better with the ground.
The shoes are available with a one-year waterproof warranty, in both Laced and BOA systems, in the following styles:
Men’s: White/Blue/Red, White/Black/Teal, Black/White/Grey, White/White/Grey, Grey/Grey/White
Women’s: White/White/Grey, White/White/Blue, Navy/White/Black.
Available now, the new FootJoy Pro/SL Shoes have an RRP of £160 for the laced models, or £185 for the BOA models.
