Wilson has announced the release of an all-new urethane golf ball featuring T3 technology which is designed specifically for golfers who are looking to break 80.

Wilson are claiming that the new 3-piece Triad ball is the most technically-advanced that they have ever produced. The construction produces a high MOI that reduces driver spin from the tee while increasing speed to produce a long and stable ball flight, intended to find more fairways.

“We are very excited to introduce this innovative golf ball for a growing community of competitive players who want to take their game to the next level. The competitive golfer striving to break 80 is who Wilson Labs had in mind while engineering the T3 Technology of Triad, allowing for pinpoint accuracy from anywhere on the course.”

Tim Clarke, General Manager, Wilson Golf.

The Triad ball also features the brand’s thinnest ever cast Urethane cover. A high friction cover offers golfers with plenty of grip to maximise club face interaction on short shots, and extra spin with the mid to low irons so that they can attack pins.

The patent-pending tri-balanced ball construction creates a uniform density from layer to layer – the rubber core, thermoplastic layer and super-thin Urethane cover – while eliminating inconsistencies inside the golf ball to ensure of perfect balance and a pure roll.

To achieve the high MOI level, Wilson’s engineers moved the weight from the core to the outside of the ball. This also has the extra bonus of helping to achieve perfect balance within the ball that results in straighter approach shots and straighter putts.

The Wilson Triad ball also comes in an uncoated Raw version first seen in the Staff Model ball launched last year.

This finish features the same tri-balanced construction which delivers pure clubface interaction for ‘unmatched feel and control’.

Available from February 2022, the Triad ball is priced at an RRP of 39 per dozen.
