At the back end of 2025 we saw Scotty Cameron join an ever-growing trend by adding their own zero torque putter to the market. This year they are updating two of their existing putter ranges, with an all-new Phantom mallet lineup as well as additions to the Studio Style range.
Scotty Cameron 2026 Phantom Putters
Phantom is Scotty Cameron’s mallet range that has been around for a number of years now. This latest generation has been redesigned for 2026, aiming to give golfers a softer feel and better distance control in different setup options.

There are three different head shapes – Phantom 5, 7 and 9R – available in nine different head, neck and shaft combinations.
Each of the putters features a full-face Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert, with chain-link face milling. This is designed to fine-tune the sound and feel, while maintaining ball speeds off the face.

First seen in the 2025 Studio Style putters, the carbon steel dampens sounds more than the likes of teryllium, stainless steel or aluminium inserts.
The chain-link design reduces the amount of contact with the ball at impact, helping to preserve a softer sound and feel.
There are five different neck and shaft configurations available to golfers, to match different stroke types and preferences.
One of these is the new low-torque Onset Center (OC) setup in the Phantom 5, designed to encourage a straight back, straight through path.
Also new is the double-bend shaft in the Phantom 7, providing more of a face-balanced feel and different look at address compared to the usual mid-bend.
The Phantom putters have all been refined in their shaping, as a result of tour player feedback.
They have a taller height at the centre of the face, with an increase to the radius on the topline. This is designed to improve visuals at address, encouraging a better path into the ball.

There’s also a flatter sole design with more surface area. This helps golfers to sole the putter more consistently, especially across different slopes and grass types. It comes as a result of input from Justin Thomas, and helps to encourage a more solid and repeatable setup position.
Scotty Cameron 2026 Phantom Putter Models:
Phantom 5
The Phantom 5 is one of Scotty Cameron’s most popular models – a wingback mallet with a compact shape.

It has a single sightline for alignment, and is now available in the OC configuration for low-torque performance.
Phantom 7

A sharp-angled wingback mallet, with a bigger footprint compared to the 5. There’s a new double-bend shaft configuration, designed with tour player feedback for a more face-balanced feel.
Phantom 9

2026 sees the introduction of a new 9R shape which features softer, more rounded edges than the previous model. Currently used by Cameron Young, who won his first PGA Tour title with this shape last year.
It also offers a long single sightline in the 9R, and a shorter sightline in the 9.2R.
The Scotty Cameron Phantom putters are available from 27th February at an SRP of £449 (£499 for Phantom 5 OC).
Scotty Cameron Studio Style 2026 Putters
The Studio Style lineup has also been updated, with three new putters across two different models designed for different toe flow profiles and putting strokes.

Whereas the Phantom is exclusively mallets, Studio Style offers blade shapes and mid-mallets. They feature the same SCS face inserts and chain-link face milling as the Phantom models.
Scotty Cameron Studio Style 2026 Putter Models
Santa Fe
A model that has been around for more than 30 years. It features a rounded, Newport-style shape with a flow neck to promote more toe flow and face awareness whilst putting.

The SCS face insert and chain-link milling add a modern flavour to the classic design and configuration.
Fastback 2
The Fastback 2 features the same mid-mallet shape as the Fastback, but with a plumber’s neck for moderate toe flow.

A rounded head shape has a multi-material construction and heel-toe inlay that pushes more weight to the perimeter. This increases MOI and is also said to help with alignment.
Fastback 2 Long Design

The Long Design is a longer and heavier version of the Fastback 2. It’s designed for golfers looking to quieten their hands, and produce a smoother and more stable stroke.
The putter is 38 inches long and features a heavier head weight, with a 25 gram tungsten sole weight, 17 inch non-tapered grip and stiffer shaft.
Available from 12th February, the Studio Style Santa Fe and Fastback 2 putters will have an SRP of £449, while the Fastback 2 Long Design will be £499.
