These days Ping may be better known for their game-improvement irons and forgiving drivers, but the brand really made their name after revolutionising putter design. More than 60 years later, they are still innovating with the introduction of the Ping Scottsdale Putters for 2025.

The new family of putters features nine different models, inspired in part by running shoe technology. They focus on three main characteristics: feel, forgiveness and custom fitting.
Ping have also introduced the WebFit Putter app. This is a web fitting tool, helping golfers to find the best putter to suit their game.
“The Scottsdale name has a special meaning to Ping, dating back to the early days of the company in my grandfather Karsten Solheim’s garage, where his revolutionary ideas changed the equipment industry.”
“The new line of putters includes some of the highest- performing models in our history, like the standard-setting Anser, and the popular Craz-E model, which was ahead of its time more than 20 years ago with its unique shaping and alignment features. The new insert technology applied to every model helps ensure a soft responsive feel, with the forgiveness and accuracy to sink more putts. It’s a great-looking selection of putters, and with the introduction of the WebFit Putter app, finding a Ping model to fit your game is easier than ever.”

The Scottsdale putters feature a Pebax insert. This is a material often used in the soles of running shoes, due to its elastic properties.

It is a lightweight, high-energy-return compound which offers a soft, responsive feel. The idea behind this is that it encourages better distance control and forgiveness.
Ping say that you’re getting more stability in the Scottsdale putters because of these large face-insert cavities. These allow weight savings to be redistributed towards the perimeter of the head, increasing MOI. Moving the CG location in to the right portion of each head can also help reduce skid and improve forward roll.

Each model in the new range features colour blocking between the top rail and back portion. This is to help draw focus to the front of the putter, for better alignment.
There are a number of different head shapes and sizes, from blade to mallet, allowing golfers to pick a model which best suits their stroke and preference.
Ping Scottsdale Putters
Ping Scottsdale Craz-E Putter

An iconic Ping shape, known for it’s easy alignment features and extreme MOI. This comes from added perimeter weighting and a low/back CG location.
Ping Scottsdale Craz-E CB Putter

A mid-length build sees a longer shaft and grip, at 37.75″, allow golfers to grip down for added stability.
Ping Scottsdale Prime Tyne 4 Putter

A highly forgiving mallet that is recognisable by a twin-fork design, giving it exceptional balance.
Ping Scottsdale Prime Tyne C Putter

A centre-shafted model which is designed to appeal to golfers who setup without any offset, and have a straighter putting stroke.
Ping Scottsdale Oslo 3 Putter

A high MOI mallet which is perimeter weighted, featuring a low centre of gravity for better accuracy. A ball-width back cavity also helps golfers to aim better.
Ping Scottsdale Anser Putter

The latest generation of the most successful putter in history! It is heel-toe weighted for forgiveness and accuracy. The back cavity features a single alignment line, to make it easier to aim.
Ping Scottsdale Anser 4 Putter

Similar in design to the standard Anser, but with a hosel that is better suited to those with a strong-arc stroke.
Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D Putter

A deeper, perimeter-weighted blade design which also has a similar weight, size and forgiveness of a mid-mallet putter.
Ping Scottsdale B63 Putter

Inspired by the B60 putter, the B63 is a perimeter weighted model with a soft-slanting hosel. This is said to match the head geometry, providing a better, more balanced look.
Ping Scottsdale DS72 Putter

A shape that has been made popular on Tour by Viktor Hovland. Features a ball-width Pebax face insert which matches the cavity, helping to improve aim.
The Ping Scottsdale putters also come complete with a new Ping SPST Tour 2.0 PT Blue grip. This is a thin pistol grip made alongside Super Stroke, featuring reduced taper to provide optimal feel and stability.

The putters are available now and priced at £250, with the Craz-E CB priced at £275.
