Callaway Announce Apex Ai150 Irons

Following on from the Ai200 and Ai300 irons released last year, Callaway have announced a slightly slimmed down version with the Callaway Apex Ai150 irons. The brand claim that this year’s addition has advanced Ai10x face for better distance control, while offering a more players preferred shape and lofts.

This is essentially the fastest players iron that Callaway have ever made, offering their fastest ball speeds, but in a shape that better players prefer.

Callaway’s VP of R&D, Brian Williams, says Ai Smart Face gives golfers consistent distance and spin across the face.

Callaway Apex Ai150 Irons

Unlike older Apex Pro models, the Ai150 design starts with the Apex TCB shape, a Tour favourite. Engineers then enhanced forgiveness slightly to suit confident single-figure golfers wanting precision with playability.

The irons feature Callaway’s Tri Sole design, first seen in the X Forged range. This sole features leading-edge relief, reducing digging and promoting smooth turf interaction for greater confidence and clubhead speed through impact.

The full list of technologies includes:

455 Face Cup in the long and mid irons, for added ball speed while maintaining control.

1025 Forged Body for soft feel and easy bending during custom fitting.

Strategic Weighting behind the striking surface, protecting CG location even when clubs are bent for loft/lie adjustments, rather than adding weight in the hosel and shifting CG heelward.

Availability & Pricing

The Callaway Apex Ai150 irons will be available for pre-sale from July 10th 2025. With full retail availability from July 25th 2025.

The irons will retail at approximately £200 per club for steel and £217 for graphite.
