Cleveland have released a lot of new gear already in 2024 and they don't show any signs of slowing down, with the introduction of the RTX Full-Face 2 and Smart Sole Full-Face wedges.

The RTX Full-Face 2 wedges look to provide versatility for greenside scoring, while the Smart Sole Full-Face comes in four specialist lofts to help golfers get easier and better results from every shot around the green.

Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 Wedge

The RTX Full-Face 2 wedges feature grooves that stretch from the hosel to the toe, along with an extended toe area, to give golfers more confidence when taking on open-face shots.

Cleveland have included new HydraZip technology, which is a dynamic blast and laser-milled line system in the wedge to maximise spin in wet or dry conditions. The lasered lines are angled towards the grooves on the face, to add more roughness and friction at impact.

To improve spin rates even more, Cleveland are using UltiZip grooves which cover the entire hitting area of the face. The grooves are designed to help cut through debris at impact, while the high-toe profile encourages golfers to be more aggressive with their short game shots.

"Skilled players wanting that extra element of control with their greenside play will reap the benefits of the RTX Full-Face 2. We've added HydraZip face technology to maximise performance in wet or dry conditions, which works alongside ZipCore technology for even more forgiveness and consistency when you want to take on those riskier shots."

Joe Miller, European Product Manager, Cleveland Golf Europe.

The low-density ZipCore technology positions the CG closer to where the club strikes the ball for more consistent performance and more forgiveness. Cleveland says that the RTX Full-Face 2 features up to 96% more ZipCore material compared to the previous generation, delivering 13% better MOI.

The wedge comes with three different sole grind options, with each shape optimised for that specific loft.

For the lower lofts, ranging from 50°-52°, there's an S-Shaped sole with 8° of bounce, for a balance of control and workability.

The sand wedge lofts feature a similar S-Shaped sole but with 10° of bounce, ideal for bunker shots.

The higher lofted wedges, 58° and above, have a C-Shaped sole with 8° bounce, designed for flop shots or 'escapes from challenging lies'.

Available from 10th February, the RTX Full-Face 2 Wedges are available from 46°-64° and priced at £159 for the Tour Satin finish, or £169 for the Tour Rack finish.

Cleveland Smart Sole Full-Face Wedge

The Smart Sole Full-Face Wedge offers for specialised clubs, which are designed to be able to perform every type of short game shot. They're Cleveland's maximum forgiveness wedges thanks to the updated, extra-wide Three-Tiered Sole Designs.

Cleveland Smart Sole Full-Face Wedge

The Smart Sole Full-Face sees the largest faces ever on Cleveland wedges, with a 46% larger hitting area than the previous model as well as greater MOI.

New alignment lines have been added at the bottom of the club face, help golfers address the ball from the middle of the face and keep the face square at impact, helping to improve contact.

Each of the Smart Sole Full-Face wedges is designed for certain situations around the green.

The C model is ideal for chip shots or bump and runs, the G model is for full or partial approach shots, and the S model is designed for easier sand saves. Finally, the L model is designed for higher shots into short-sided pins.
