What’s In The Bag: Aaron Rai

Who? 30 year-old Englishman Aaron Rai.

What? The 2025 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, his third DP World Tour win.

Where? Yas Links, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

How? Aaron Rai beat Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff to win on the DP World Tour for the first time in five years. Rai had started the final round with a one stroke lead over Fleetwood, but faced challenges from Fleetwood, Dan Hillier, Nicolai Hojgaard and a charging Rory McIlroy, who fell just short despite a final round of 62. Rai and Fleetwood were tied after 18 holes, but Rai holed an 8 foot putt for birdie on the first playoff hole to take the victory.
