When it comes to cutting edge golf gear, Puma are certainly one of the biggest names on the market and so every time they release new clothing or shoes, it’s worth a closer look.
Their latest shoe release for 2021, the Proadapt Alphacat, has been designed to provide the ‘Alpha’ of all spikeless shoes with a combination of exceptional performance and hi-tech materials that sees it slot right in at the top of the spikeless shoe category.
Puma are describing the Alphacat as the ‘King of Comfort’ as it comes complete with a number of different technologies designed to make walking the fairways as easy as possible.
Adapt Foam is made from a combination of EVA cushioning and an impact resistant polymer, and this combination of materials creates a platform for impact resistance, extra energy return and better ground feel.
The Proadapt Multi Material Outsole features a high-durometer, abrasion-resistant TPU perimeter for better traction on softer surfaces.
The central Crystal Rubber unit then adds traction and a softer underfoot feel on harder surfaces, meaning that you should feel confident and comfortable when hitting from any lie in any conditions.
The shoe’s upper is a EXO shell made up of an engendered mesh with a TPU film, providing plenty of support whilst also holding a one-year waterproof guarantee.

The Puma Alphacat Shoes are available now across Europe and Asia for men at an RRP of �120, in sizes 7-12. A women’s model is due to be released next year, and both the men’s and women’s options will be available in North America from 2022 too.
They are available in three different colourways – Black, Grey and White.
