Ping G30 Fairway Wood Revealed

G30 maximises distance across the face.

Right on the edge of their release schedule, PING is building upon their exceptional G25 Fairway with their new, sheer performance powerhouse G30 Fairway Wood that further showcases PINGs commitment to quality and optimal design.

With the huge success of the the G25 Fairway, the new G30 makes great even better with a larger, taller face and flattened crown that yields a more forgiving face along with a flatter visual appearance that instills confidence at address.

Like the new G30 driver the G30 fairway wood features “turbulators” on the crown of the club although due to the smaller head these do not bring the obvious aerodynamic benefits found in the driver. Rather, in the fairway wood, the turbulators act as a great alignment aid to boost confidence at address as with two on either side of the crown they appear to capture the ball between them.

The G30 Fairway Wood features a uniform and thinner Carpenter 475 steel face that increases ball speed and maximizes face deflection. The new face is 44% stronger than the previous 17-4 stainless steel used in previous generations that has allowed Ping to create a thin but strong surface that maximises deflection across the face to maintain distance and performance across as large an area as possible.

The weight saved from the face has been redistributed to optimise centre of gravity positioning and increase MOI.

Launch angle can also be adjusted in the G30 fairway woods via the Trajectory Tuning+ Technology. The lightweight adjustable hosel allows players to add or subtract up to 1 degree of loft in adjustments of plus or minus 0.6 or 1 degrees.

The new G30 fairway woods are available as a 3 Wood (14.5 degree), 5 Wood (18 degree) and 7 Wood (21 degree) options.

Equipped with PINGs Tour 65 or Tour 80 shafts that feature a lower trajectory for even more added control along with a silver PVD finish and Tour feel, the PING G30 Tour Fairway Wood will have you swinging stronger and straighter than ever. As with the driver a TFC 419 fairway shaft is available that has a centre of gravity closer to the grip end of the club to increase MOI.
