Titleist Launch New GT1 Metals For 2025

Rounding out their range of metals, the new Titleist GT1 Metals are aimed at golfers seeking high launch, fast ball speeds and stability. There’s a new driver available, as well as a fairway and a hybrid. They follow in the footsteps of the very popular GT2 and GT3 from 2024.

The metals feature ultra-lightweight designs, making it easier to swing more quickly. They come with a standard build, making them more suitable for all golfers who want higher launch and mid-spin. The drivers, fairways and hybrids feature the deepest CG placements in the whole GT range.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s on offer:

Titleist GT1 Driver

An ultra-lightweight construction, complete with lightweight shafts and grip, encourages faster clubhead speed and better launch for golfers with moderate swing speeds.

It’s also available in a lightweight build with a 15 gram head-weight option. This is ideal for golfers wanting more launch and stability without losing weight.

A Seamless Thermoform Crown, made from Titleist’s new Matrix Polymer, helped the brand to save weight. The material is designed to enhance the sound and feel, while the crown wraps to the rest of the head for a better look at address.

The weight savings are redistributed in a Split Mass Construction. This features strategically positioned weight, helping to increase launch and speed with more spin and stability.

The driver features aerodynamic shaping with a refined crown and sole shape and a shallower face depth. This helps to promote faster clubhead speeds.

Finally, upgrading the Speed ring provides more stability around the perimeter of the GT1’s clubface. This is said to improve performance when struck out of the middle. Variable Face Thickness technology works to improve things when you don’t strike it out of the middle.

It’s available in 9, 10 and 12 degrees.

Titleist GT1 Fairway Woods

Similar to the drivers, the GT1 Fairways feature the same ultra-lightweight construction including light shafts and grips. This is designed to promote fast speeds and high launch, for moderate swing speeds.

New to GT1 are Dual Performance Control Settings. Adjustable forward-aft flat weights give golfers more control over their own launch conditions.

The heavier 11 gram weight is positioned in the aft position. The 3 gram weight is in the forward position, providing a high-MOI setup. These weights can be also be switched around, to lower spin and add speed.

They feature the deepest CG position in the lineup with maximised MOI, resulting in improved stability and adding launch.

They have a shallower face profile for better playability off the turf. A redesigned internal hosel allows Titleist to make more weight savings.

It’s available in 15, 18, 21 and 24 degrees in both right and left handed.

Titleist GT1 Hybrids

Rounding out the range, the hybrids offer high MOI performance with plenty of forgiveness and playability. As a result, they’re ideal for gofers seeking a higher flight, with mid-spin.

Dual Performance Control Settings also offer control over CG placement, similar to the GT1 Fairways.

Because of this, the models have 5% higher MOI than the TSR1 hybrids with the weight at the back.

Conversely, moving the weight to the front can lower launch and spin, but the GT1 still retains high-MOI properties.

Compared to the TSR1, the GT1 is longer from heel to toe. This helps to retain speed on off-centre strikes, and adds forgiveness.

Finally, the hybrids feature a .335″ tip to accommodate a fairway shaft. This can help to raise launch and decrease swingweight.
