Who? 31 year-old Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick.
What? The 2026 RBC Heritage, his fourth PGA Tour win.
Where? Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
How? After squandering a chance to win in regulation play, Matt Fitzpatrick produced an incredible birdie in the first hole of the playoff against Scottie Scheffler to win his second title of the season.
The Englishman had started with a three shot lead and showed excellent grit and composure despite Scheffler’s back nine charge, right until the last hole when a poor chip led to a bogey at the extremely difficult 18th. On the first playoff hole, Fitzpatrick hit an incredible 4 iron approach to 12 feet, before holing the putt to win despite a hostile crowd, completing his second victory at his favourite golf course.
