For years, golf equipment fans discussed rumours that some professional golfers used different golf balls compared to us amateurs. This was proven to be true, and brands have slowly started to release some of these options as there is a growing demand for more options when it comes to golf balls.

One of those options is the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash, which has been updated for 2026. Sitting alongside the much more recognisable Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, the new Left Dash is more than four years in the making with faster core technology and better aerodynamics, providing longer distance with a more consistent flight.

It is best suited for golfers who look for a higher flight like the Pro V1x, but with lower full swing spin and a firmer feel.
“If you’re a Dash player, you should be excited to play the new Dash because we’ve taken everything that you love about it and just made it a little better.”
“It’s still low spin off the tee. It’s faster, it’s longer, it’s more penetrating into the wind. It’s everything that a Dash player loves, with a little bit more.”
Mike Madson, Senior Vice President of Titleist Golf Ball R&D.
The Tech
There’s a new, faster high gradient dual core formulation. This is more resilient than previous generations, helping to encourage ball speed and distance.
A thicker, high-flex casing layer adds speed whilst also lowering spin in the long game. A thinner urethane cover provides the levels of greenside spin and control that you’d expect from a ‘tour’ golf ball.

This time round there’s a new aerodynamic profile too. A spherically tiled, 348 dimple design generates a more efficient and consistent flight, optimising performance through the air.

Whilst most golfers will still be better suited to the standard Pro V1 or Pro V1x models, the Left Dash option may help golfers who are looking for very low spin whilst keeping a high ball flight.
Titleist suggest that around 6-8% of all their app ball fittings result in a golfer being recommended the Left Dash.

Available from 21st January, the new Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash will be priced at £52 per dozen.
