Titleist are rounding out their new GTS metal range for 2026 with an update to their mini driver, and the new GTS300 is said to be larger and more forgiving to give golfers distance, control and stability.

The new model replaces the GT280, which received very high praise in our review, and now comes with a 305cc head as a result of feedback from the likes of Justin Thomas and Cameron Young.
More forgiving design
This larger head shape combines with a deeper CG (centre of gravity) position to raise the overall forgiveness levels in the head, which Titleist say can improve performance on off-centre strikes.
Using a composite crown design, like in the standard GTS drivers, allowed Titleist to save some weight which could be redistributed in the optimal areas of the head.

Despite having a bigger head, the GT300 still has the same face height as the GT280, which helps to make it easy to hit off the turf for golfers who want that extra bit of versatility.
Forged L-Cup face
Like the new GTS Fairway Woods, the GTS300 has a forged L-Cup face design. This features a high-strength titanium insert, wrapping around the bottom of the clubface. It’s there to help maintain ball speed and launch even when struck low on the face – something that is very important when hitting woods like this off the deck.

It also helps to ensure more of a player-preferred sound and feel off the face.
Dual weighting system
A dual-weighting system with forward and back flat weight adjustability allows the CG location to be fine tuned. Having the heavy weight at the front can lower spin and launch, whilst moving it to the bag can increase spin, launch and stability.
On-Tour
If you’ve been keeping a close eye on Titleist’s staff players over the last few months you may have already spotted a couple of these mini drivers in play.
Justin Thomas was one of the first to make the switch, putting the GTS300 in the bag in May, and he often uses it as a secondary option off the tee, when the golf course doesn’t require many 3 woods off the deck.
Specs and Availability
The GTS300 Mini Driver comes in 13 degrees loft for both right and left-handed golfers, with a 43.5″ shaft as standard.
It will be available from July 23rd, at an SRP of £499.
