Srixon Expand ZXi Range With New Irons

Srixon have had a season to remember in 2025, with multiple victories on the professional tour including JJ Spaun’s big win at the US Open. Their ZXi range of woods and irons was well-received too, and the brand are building on that momentum heading into 2026 with the all-new ZXiR irons.

There are two different irons available, as well as a women’s version, including Srixon’s first ever super game improvement iron.

Joining the ZXi7, ZXi5 and ZXi4 irons, the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL are said to complete the lineup so that there is now an option for golfers of any ability.

They’ve been designed with Srixon’s new i-Alloy material. This has been developed specially for the ZXiR line, and is said to be 10% softer than their usual steel. The result of this is better feedback, quieter vibrations and a softer feel than other irons in the game improvement category.

The irons also feature the pre-existing Mainframe technology. This has been tweaked with new milling patterns, designed to redistribute weight across the head to encourage better ball speed and forgiveness.

Using data from thousands of real golf shots allowed Srixon to position the sweet spot lower in the head, which is an area where higher handicap golfers tend to make contact. As a result, they’re promising faster ball speeds, better energy transfer and improved dispersion.

Compared to other models in the range, the ZXiR irons have longer blade lengths, wider soles and more offset. They’re aiming to strike a balance between confidence inspiring, whilst still looking clean and premium.

Srixon ZXiR HL Irons

This is Srixon’s first ever super game improvement iron. As the name suggests, the lofts have been adjusted to offer higher launch. The 7 iron in the ZXiR HL is 32.5 degrees, compared to 28.5 with the ZXiR.

They’re built for golfers with slower swing speeds, aiming to produce higher launch, more spin and a softer landing angle. Srixon’s own testing suggests that the ZXiR HL are the highest launching irons in this category.

The ZXiR irons also feature a number of hallmarks of the ZXi range. This includes the Tour VT Sole, which is V-shaped with balanced bounce and relief. This helps to prevent digging, offering better turf interaction for more consistent striking.

Throughout the set there are progressive grooves. These change in width and depth to best support the required shot. The long irons feature wider grooves for launch and speed, with tighter grooves in the short irons for better control and spin.

Finally, laser milling is etched between every groove to add more spin on each iron, aiming to provide extra control regardless of the lie.

The new Srixon ZXiR and ZXiR HL Irons will be available from 6th February 2026. They’re offered as standard with Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips and shaft options including the KBS 80 HL and KBS Graphite options.

Available from 4-SW, a six-piece set of irons will have an RRP of £959.
