Garmin Introduce Approach Z10 Rangefinder

This brand launch their most affordable rangefinder to date, with 6x magnification from up to 350 yards away.

Garmin are one of the biggest GPS technology brands in the world, and their popularity in the golf market seems to be growing. 2026 sees the introduction of the Approach Z10, a compact rangefinder that comes with a pricepoint that is much cheaper than their previous Approach Z30 and Approach Z82 options.

The Approach Z10 offers precise measurements to the pin from up to 350 yards away and comes with 6x magnification.

It weighs in at less than 180 grams and is smaller and lighter than most smartphones. Despite this, Garmin say it is still packed with features like the Range Relay, which sends the ranged distances to a watch, handheld device or the Garmin Golf app.

Once done, the golfer will see a laser arc on their other device, showing an overview of everything in play for that shot, as well as distances to the front and back of the green to help with pin placement.

“For players that use a Garmin smartwatch or golf handheld on the course, the Approach Z10 can supercharge their devices, making them extremely precise with measurements to the pin, the front and back of the green and everything else in play. We understand the importance of having accurate distances when you’re deciding which club to use and how you approach each shot.”

Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing.

Other key features of the Approach Z10 include:

  • Quickly range distance to the pin: View distance to the pin and the front and back of the green, with vibrations to tell you when the rangefinder is locked in on its target.
  • Dynamic distance: Ranged distances synced to a compatible Garmin device stay dynamic, adjusting as players move and approach the target with no need to remeasure before each shot.
  • PlaysLike distance: See how far each shot should play directly through the viewfinder, with yardage adjusted for elevation changes.
  • Tournament mode: An external indicator light lets competitors know that the device is only providing data within the rules.
  • Magnetic mount: Conveniently store the range finder with an included magnetic mount when using a buggy or even a trolley.
  • Find My Rangefinder: If misplaced, players can see their rangefinder’s last known location when paired to the Garmin Golf app.
  • Battery life: Enjoy up to one year of use without needing to replace the battery.

Garmin also offer the option of a Garmin Golf membership for £8.99 a month or £89.99 a year. This gives access to extra premium features like Green Contour Data, allowing golfers to see the slope direction of the green on certain courses.

High resolution, aerial imagery of the shot ahead is available for more than 43,000 golf courses around the world.

The Garmin Approach Z10 laser is available now, at an SRP of £259.99, almost £100 cheaper than the previous Approach Z30 laser.
