Ping has been trying to muscle in on the better player blade market for a while now and the Ping S57 irons are certainly the best feeling cast irons we have tried in this sector.

From above the look just like blades and the feel and ability to move the ball is excellent. Our only reservation is that the tungsten toe weight makes the heads a little heavy and they are also a little on the small side, which reduces the sweetspot a touch.

However some Ping Tour players are replacing the S57 long irons with a Rapture V2 equivalent, so that could be an option for you.

November 2016

Been using these irons for 2 years and they are brilliant. Solid feel off the middle and you know when you miss. The off the toe shots stay nice and straight, but miss distance. Control is great for fades and draws. Really effective penetrating ball flight. Looking forward to the new iBlade series. If you like a blade feel with some forgiveness then these are for you.

June 2016

Once you start striking the ball well with these clubs, no other club can match the superb feel, you hit it well you are rewarded, you miss-hit it, then you will pay, again, very good clubs, you have total control of the ball flight and easily shaped shots.
