The latest incarnation of the popular Soft Feel two piece golf ball from Srixon has been enhanced to launch higher with less spin making it the longest Soft Feel ball to date.
Golf balls, due to the chemical nature of their components, tend to have us reaching for the scientific dictionary and the elements that deliver the performance in the new Soft Feel are no exceptions.
The combination of a low compression Energetic Gradient Growth core with a Rabalon HR+ and Pana-Tatra dual blended soft ionomer cover lead to the enhanced feel and increased ball speed that Srixon say is unmatched by any other ball in the "game improvement" category in which these balls sit.
Breaking that down the low 71 compression core is a highly resilient very soft formulation allowing golfers with moderate swing speeds of around 70 mph to generate more ball speed, upwards of 32 metres per second, and therefore more distance.
The improved cover combined with Srixon's advanced 344 dimple pattern gives the Soft Feel a penetrating trajectory with a higher lift force that results in in more carry and distance as well as superior stability in windy conditions.
Coming in either pure white or tour yellow, both designed to optimise visual performance whilst tracking the flight of the ball, the 2014 soft Feel also boasts Srixon's "Hit Straight" alignment aid to promote focus and make square set-up easier to achieve on the greens.
