Cleveland Golf have become the latest brand to join the trend of producing a wedge with grooves across the entire face, as they have introduced the new CBX Full-Face to their lineup.
Available across Europe from 20th March, the idea behind the full face is that it provides golfers with a larger face area and more versatility to make difficult greenside shots easier, particularly out of a bunker or thick rough.
Our new Cleveland CBX Full-Face is a perfect way to complete our wedge lineup. It helps golfers execute the most demanding shots they'll encounter thanks to a larger striking surface with extended grooves running across the face. It does this while maintaining great feel and the signature forgiveness golfers have come to expect in every Cleveland CBX wedge.
Joe Miller, Product Manager at Cleveland Golf Europe
The CBX Full-Face has a high toe shape which is ideal for sliding under the golf ball when you're looking to be more aggressive with your short-game shots.
There's a half-cavity design, with a cavity near the heel and a muscle back on the toe, which works to move the centre of gravity away from the heel and better in line with the usual strike patterns of golfers, improving consistency and feel.
Cleveland's Rotex Face Milling now stretches across the entire face to provide more spin and greater stopping power.
The wedge features a C-Shaped sole grind, helping to provide that extra relief on the heel and toe for more short game versatility.
The Cleveland CBX Full-Face wedges are priced at £139 (£149 with a graphite shaft) and are offered in four different loft option, 56°, 58°, 60° and 64°.
