What’s In The Bag: Nicolai Hojgaard

Winner of the 2023 DP World Tour Championship

Who? 20 year-old Dane Nicolai Hojgaard.

What? The 2022 Ras al Khaimah Championship, his second DP World Tour win.

Where? Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

How? Hojgaard had a three shot lead heading into the final round and it looked like being a formality when an early eagle stretched his advantage to five strokes, but Jordan Smith’s late charge and Hojgaard’s sloppy play around the turn left him two strokes behind after 12 holes. The Dane was able to dig deep and played his last six holes in five under par to sign for a 68 and run out a four stroke winner.
