In case you’re looking for a new shoe this summer that looks a little bit different from the norm, then the Duca Del Cosma Davanti shoe might just be what you’re looking for. I’ve tried a couple of previous generations in the past, so was very intrigued to see if they had improved in 2025.

Who Are They Aimed At?

With a £195 price tag, these shoes target golfers who value style and are looking for high quality materials and premium comfort.

The Italian brand solely focuses on crafting high quality golf shoes. It takes pride in leading golf fashion with standout designs. The brand blends Italian style with top-tier performance on the course.

The Duca Del Cosma Davanti comes in three different styles, Green/Grey, Marina, and in this review Light Blue.

The Tech

As you would expect from a Duca Del Cosma shoe, especially one with a price tag close to £200, it features an impressive array of premium materials and advanced technologies throughout its design.

Duca Del Cosma Davanti shoes use premium Nappa leather that include a breathable, high shock-absorbing CMEVA memory foam insert sole.

The shoes feature ergonomic design around the heel to improve walking gait. Which helps promote a smoother and more natural stride.

Inside the shoe features an internal bootie system that’s breathable to help keep your feet dry.

The front of the shoe features a medial toe bumper to provide extra material protection during the downswing.

Underneath the shoe features the brands smart sole design with three different nubs for stability, traction and overall control.

Looks And Feel

First impressions suggest the golf course isn’t the first place you’d expect to see a shoe like this. The blend of pastel blue, navy, white, and orange is bold and eye catching. Personally, it’s not a style I would wear, but I can easily see someone going from a city stroll straight onto the first tee with them.

In hand the shoes feel very solid and light, a perfect combination for this everyday style of shoe. The Nappa leather is nice and soft feeling on the outer sole but feels very sturdy underneath.

The shoes have a large foam base that extends beyond the heel. This design helps improve your walking style.

Davanti’s light blue option is quite bright. If I were to buy a pair, I’d prefer the more toned-down Marina colourway.

Overall the shoe feels very premium and definitely looks like a comfortable shoe to try on.

Comfort & Performance

Trying the shoe on for the first time I was pleasantly surprised. I found the leather really helpful for securing my feet, especially around the front part of the ankle.

Walking felt very comfortable and the shoes felt solid. This gave me confidence they won’t loosen too much after a few rounds. Surprisingly, they felt reasonably weighted for full leather shoes, which are usually heavy.

While hitting a few shots, I noticed good traction from the sole which blended nicely with the extra security around the ankle.

This translated well when I tested shots from the fairway, wet rough, and bunkers. Overall, I had no slipping and felt well balanced during each shot.

One thing I did struggle with was the look from the shoes from the top. Seeing the navy/white contrasting colours, wasn’t bad to look at first but I did find it a bit distracting when hitting shots. I much prefer seeing solid colour golf shoes, however I do credit the brand for trying something totally different.

Overall I thought these shoes were really comfortable to walk around in, a nice firm feeling shoe with plenty of cushioning underneath.

Over the course of nine holes testing these in wet conditions, I found that water was repelling off the shoes with ease, which filled me with a lot of confidence that these will keep my feet dry.

Duca Del Cosma Davanti Shoe Verdict

Strangely enough having tried a few Duca Del Cosma shoes out in the past, I’ve typically found them great to look at and not very comfortable. The Davanti’s for me were the polar opposite.

Being honest I really wasn’t a fan of this style of shoe, the extra heel length of the sole made the shoes feel very big on my feet, even though they fit me great. I think the extra heel sole was a bit unnecessary and does make the shoe seem a lot longer than it needs to be.

The shoe itself performed well, it was very comfortable and felt really secure on my foot. If you’re someone who can put up with the design and prefer this style of shoe you will really like the way these shoes feel when playing.

Would I Use It?

I’d love to try the Marina colourway to see what they look like, but even so I wasn’t a fan of the long heel toe and would prefer a shoe that was less distracting on the eye when hitting shots.
