The all new Cobra DS-Adapt LS Driver is the low spin model in their latest highly adjustable lineup, which features 33 different loft and lie settings to help you optimise your ball flight.

Alongside that, the DS-Adapt LS has a bunch of features that can help you hit it a long way, by providing a low trajectory with low spin as well as maximising your ball speeds.

Who Is It Aimed At?

The DS-Adapt range features three models: the X, the Max K, and the Low Spin model reviewed here.
As a low spin driver, it’s generally suited to better players who consistently strike the centre of the clubface.
These players are often looking to reduce spin and control ball flight to maximise carry distance and overall performance.

The DS-Adapt LS is also the smallest profile of heads in the range coming in at 445c, so if you like the look of a smaller and sleek design then this could be the club for you.

The Tech

The standout innovation in the DS-Adapt range is Cobra’s FutureFit33 technology. It offers over twice the loft and lie settings of rival brands. With 33 total settings, it delivers more custom fitting options than ever before.

This combines with a new Smartpad design, which ensures the face angle stays square regardless of the chosen head setting.
Consistent face position improves accuracy and boosts visual confidence at address across all loft and lie settings.

DS-Adapt LS boosts aerodynamics with compact 445cc head, streamlined face, raised aft, high crown, and lower heel design. This driver is shaped to reduce drag and create more speed with your same swing.

There’s also a larger forged face that incorporates Cobra’s H.O.T. Face technology.
This design helps the face flex more at impact, promoting consistent ball speed and distance even on off-centre hits.

Adjustable heel and toe weights are complemented with a third back weight, allowing for additional adjustment to optimise spin & forgiveness.

Cobra DS-Adapt LS Driver Review

Looks and Feel

Over the years, Cobra have really prioritised the look of their drivers, and the DS-Adapt continues that with a stealth grey/black design. I thought this looked really smart in the hands and definitely gave me cool Batmobile vibes.

On the sole you can see a number of different materials and finishes blended together. I really appreciate the finer details that Cobra have included here. The mixture of the carbon fibre black, gloss and matt finishes definitely makes the club feel very premium.

The impressive looks continue on the crown too with a matt finish ledge at the front and carbon fibre rear. It did remind me a little bit of the Callaway Elyte driver, but personally I think this looked more premium than the Elyte.

The head shape itself is sleek at address, and sits really square without too much offset – something you would expect from most low spin drivers. Cobra have added their logo on the crown for the alignment, which isn’t too noticeable and probably could’ve been made clearer for sunny conditions.

The club face is design with lasered markings, that has clear black centred lines to help frame the golf ball. This design reminded me of Titleist’s GT3 design.

Upon warming up the first few shots definitely felt extremely firm off the face. This was a little alarming for me coming from my own Ping G430 LST. I’d describe the feeling of the first few shots as hitting a very hard golf ball, so not the most satisfying feeling at impact.

The sound of the club was also a pretty loud clatter, especially on off centre hits. You could tell straight away whether you had hit a good shot or not.

Performance

To test this Cobra DS-Adapt LS properly we headed to HUKD golf to get some numbers and then headed out onto the golf course to see how it matched up.

First few shots during testing weren’t hit very well and but after four shots I managed to get the ball going straight. I struggled first off with the length of the driver to catch the middle of the face but this soon changed.

After shot four I was instantly noticing the ball comfortably carrying 280 yards with a nice penetrating flight and relatively low spin. For me I was struggling to get the absolute most out of this driver, even though it felt like I was centering most shots, my ball speeds were a little down and spin a bit too low for my swing speed.

On Course

Out on the course the driver was a lot more satisfying in daylight, I loved the way the driver framed the golf ball. However the sound and feel didn’t quite live up to the aesthetics. After a while I was instantly getting put off by the hard feeling impact making me think I’m hitting an old Top Flite golf ball.

The ball flight stayed strong in blustery conditions, and it was easy to control and shape against the wind with a penetrating trajectory.

Cobra DS-Adapt LS Driver Verdict

The Cobra DS-Adapt LS driver was certainly something completely different to what I’ve tried this year. I loved the overall looks and even enjoyed the way it performed on the golf course.

However the sound and feel unfortunately did let this driver down a little bit. It’s one of the best-looking drivers of 2025, showing strong design progress and clearly heading in the right direction.

The adjustability feels excessive for most golfers, but it’s ideal for custom fitters to fine-tune ball flight and performance.

Would I Use It?

No, unfortunately not. I think if this driver was a little better sounding and feeling then it would definitely be on my next Christmas list.
