Srixon has introduced the fourth generation of their Q-Star Tour golf ball, which the brand say is their softest ball with tour-level performance.
The Q-Star Tour seeks to provide the distance and spin of a tour-calibre ball but is aimed at golfers with more moderate swing speeds.
Around the greens, the ultra-thin Slide Ring Material (SeRM) coated cover adds friction and bite, providing golfers with more spin and more control to attack pins.
Srixon say that spin rates are up to 400rpm higher than competing golf balls from other manufacturers.
The new FastLayer Core behaves like a core that has thousands of layers, to providing distance and softer feel without sacrificing any performance.
Key Technologies:
The FastLayer Core offers distance and soft feel without compromise, thanks to a gradual transition from a soft inner core to a firm outer edge.
A urethane coating with flexible molecular bonds digs further into wedge and iron grooves, for increased friction on every strike which maximises spin.
A new, longer side stamp helps golfers to better align their ball on the putting green.
- 338 Speed Dimple Pattern:
Providing a penetrating ball flight in all conditions, the dimple design increases lift and reduces drag to maximise distance.
"The new and improved Q-Star Tour continues to deliver tour-calibre performance with a softer feel compared to our other tour-level offerings. This ball provides the distance all golfers need with the greenside spin and control to attack the toughest of pins."
Joe Miller, Product Expert at Srixon Sports Europe.
Available at retail across the UK & Ireland from 25th February, the new Q-Star Tour ball is priced at £34.99 per dozen and is offered Pure White or Tour Yellow.
