Srixon's fifth generation of the Q-Star Tour golf ball has been announced, with the brand saying that it offers golfers maximum greenside spin and high performance for those with moderate swing speeds.
Available in White, Yellow and new Divide colourways, the Q-Star Tour sees an updated FastLayer Core, softer urethane cover, and Spin Skin technology for more distance and control.
The reformulated FastLayer Core has a slightly higher compression rating than the previous generation, which promotes better ball speed off the tee whilst also reducing long-game spin for more accuracy and control.
Around the greens, the Q-Star provides high spin levels thanks to an ultra-thin, premium urethane cover that's even softer than previous generations.
Srixon's Spin Skin coating adds more friction at impact by digging deeper into the grooves of the face, maximising spin to encourage more stopping power on approach shots.
The 338 Speed Dimple Pattern increases lift and reduces drag for a more penetrating ball flight, even in adverse weather conditions.
The Q-Star Tour will again be available in a Divide model, which is now in its second generation. The ball features a 50/50 urethane cover and 360° alignment, helping golfers to align more accurately on the greens and receive better visual feedback on pitches and chip shots.
"The new Q-Star Tour is a high-calibre option for players wanting to hit the ball further, see more spin around the greens, and have more control across the course."
"Players can work the ball tee to green with confidence and with an updated FastLayer Core, they can generate more ball speeds and distance without compromising feel."
Joe Miller, European Product Manager, Srixon Sports Europe.
The Q-Star Tour and Q-Star Tour Divide will be available at retail from 24th February and come with an RRP of £36.99.
