Fujikura have announced something big for 2023… introducing their latest game-changing addition to its line of iron shafts: Axiom, designed for maximum consistency and feel.
In previous years, Fujikura’s Ventus shaft line has been the world’s number one metalwood shaft on worldwide tours. Nevertheless, the new Axiom iron shaft line has the same VeloCore technology, providing golfers with consistency and stability on all shots, giving them the trust to play their best golf. Could the Axiom take the number one spot?
“When we set out to create an iron shaft that would feature our flagship technology, it needed to
meet very demanding and specific criteria for us to call it a success. Not only did it need to provide
golfers the same exceptional benefits they’ve experienced with other VeloCore-powered products,
but also give players the unique and iron-specific performance attributes that will truly enhance their
critical scoring shots.”
Spencer Reynolds, Fujikura’s Product & Brand Manager.
Put through vigorous testing and analytical validation, the combination of VeloCore Technology into an iron profile produced the same performance results players have experienced with Ventus. The benefits of this included increased ball speeds and more consistent centre-face contact.
A massive benefit of the new Axiom line is a three-parallel shaft length system that leads performance throughout the set. Initially only developed for wood shafts, analytics and testing at Fujikura have now progressed to include all iron shafts, long (2-4 iron), mid (5-7 iron), and short (8-PW). This eliminates the need for extensive shaft tipping, which enables the retention of material in the tip section to maintain consistency and feel.
Axiom is available in three shaft weights and various flexes to fit a wide range of players and will be available at retail from March 2023 through authorized Fujikura Charter Dealers.
The prices of the Axiom vary depending on the weight and shaft type: 125g X-Stiff is priced at £105,
105g Stiff/X-Stiff priced at £95 and 75g R2 Regular/Stiff priced at £85.
