How? Schauffele won for the first time since The Open in 2024 after a stop-start season which was affected by injury. The American performed well at the Ryder Cup and took that into this week’s event in Japan. An excellent final round of 64 was enough to give him a narrow one-shot victory over Max Greyserman, who came very close to holing out for eagle and forcing a playoff on the final hole.
