How? Thriston Lawrence held off charges from Ryder Cup hopefuls Matt Fitzpatrick and Matt Wallace, to claim a two shot victory in Switzerland and his second win in this event. The event’s opening days had been impacted by fog, so players had to start early on Sunday morning to finish their third rounds.
Lawrence carded a seven under 63 to take a one shot lead into the final round, and struggled with three bogeys in his first three holes. However the South African rallied impressively, making an eagle and five birdies in the middle portion of the round. He eventually signed for a final round of 66 to take a two stroke victory.
