The new Wilson D9 Forged irons follow on from the D9 range that was released last year, and look to give golfers the same distance and forgiveness improvements, but with a sleeker look that places more of an emphasis on accuracy for golfers of a slightly better standard.
The irons use Wilson’s Power Hole Technology to enhance performance by combining the feel of a forged head with higher launch angles to improve stopping power on the greens.
The power holes have been created with Wilson’s generative computer design process, as used in the D9 range last year, which runs simulations on club head and data variations to find the most effective design.
This has resulted in an asymmetrical arrangement optimised specifically for the D9 Forged irons, with a heel bias that opens up the face and increases contact time with the ball to add speed and distance.
Lowering the centre of gravity has given a higher launch and increase peak height, giving you more carry and also increasing the descent angle so that approach shots land into the green and stop quickly.

The D9 Forged irons are made with a two-piece 8620 Carbon Steel forged head which delivers excellent feel, along with a thin topline and minimal offset which is designed to appeal to a wide range of golfers, from single figure to high handicappers.
The irons are available from April 2022 and are priced at an RRP of �792 (5-PW) for steel shafts and �882 for graphite shafts. They come with a Wilson Staff Lamkin Crossline grip and there is also a 4 iron and GW available for those golfers looking to extend their set.
