Titleist has revealed on their social networks that they have started their Tour Validation process for the prototype TS2 and TS3 drivers.
Think fast. Drive speed. Obsess over look, sound, feel. That was the clear mission for our R&D team. Now, it’s Tour validation time, and we chose to begin at the toughest stage to ensure new TS drivers perform: The # USOpen.

Tour Validation is where Titleist tour players get a chance to put the new model into battle and provide feedback on its performance. Now that the TS drivers have received approval as a USGA and R&A conforming club, then you might see their players using it from the 2018 US Open onwards.
From the picture of the two models, it seems that the TS2 has a rear sole weight and that the TS3 has an adjustable weight function that looks similar to the SureFit CG weight on the Titleist 917 driver.

Clearly the aim is on ball speed and looks so it will be interesting to see what Titleist have to say when they are ready to release more details. Golfalot will be the first to get this information so follow our Twitter feed as we update this page with more information as it happens!
