Srixon Introduces 2nd Generation ZX Woods

Providing more power at impact for greater ball speed and distance

It’s new golf equipment season on Golfalot! Over the next few weeks, you’re going to see a whole host of new golf gear on our website and YouTube channel as the brands show off their latest and greatest products for 2023.

Srixon ZX MkII Woods

One of those brands is Srixon, who are back with a new driver for the first time since 2020 with the second generation of their ZX line.

The ZX MK II woods are said to provide more power at impact, thanks to a number of technologies which focus on energy transfer from the clubface to the ball.

Rebound Frame

This year’s models feature a stronger, improved Rebound Frame design with two different flex zones that are designed to work together to enhance ball speed and distance.

Zone 1, the driver face, flexes inwardly at impact. Zone 2, a flexible ring offset from the face, flexes outwardly. The two zones snap back to shape after impact, making a more powerful energy transfer than in standard designs.

As a result, the Rebound Frame adds a 10% larger COR area to the driver face compared to the previous generation.

Star Frame Crown

A complex crown design provides the structural integrity needed for a thin titanium crown, and to place weight where it is needed to best suit each driver’s ideal launch and spin characteristics.

Variable Thickness Face

An intricate pattern expands the high COR area across the entire fac. These ridges enhance high COR from heel to toe by improving how the energy reflects into the ball on off-centre strikes.

Cannon Sole

A dynamic, floating weight pad on the fairways places the weight right where it is needed, to optimise launch and allow space for face flex and ball speed.

Deeper CG

The new shaping and design of the ZX Hybrids allows for more mass to be positioned deeper in the clubhead, raising the launch for higher and longer shots. A new face radius which runs from the leading edge to the crown provides more consistent spin on shots struck high and low on the face.

The ZX7 Mk II Driver is designed to deliver control so that golfers can deliver the right launch for workability off the tee.

The ZX5 Mk II Driver has a larger footprint, flattened shape and a rear weight placed low and deep in the head for higher, straighter drives.

New for 2023, the ZX5 LS Mk II Driver has a forward, adjustable 8g weight that keeps spin low for golfers looking for all-out distance.
