PXG Unveil New 0311 GEN8 Irons

PXG have started 2026 with a bang after confirming the signing of rising star Marco Penge. They’re following that this week with the launch of their new 0311 GEN8 Irons.

In total there are three different models, designed to offer maximum ball speed, precision and feel for a wide range of golfers, from tour players right up to mid-handicappers.

PXG say they have used their most advanced materials, processes and fitting technologies in the development of these irons, and they’re seeking to offer ‘total control’.

As you might expect, the irons are packed full of fancy-sounding technology that is all designed to boost performance.

Years of R&D have produced QuantumCor, which is PXG’s own polymer. Deep Core Recoil helps the face flex for more ball speeds.

A Dual Perimeter Weighting System adds more adjustability, whilst there’s also internal tungsten weighting and an ultra-thin face with Power Channel.

Like all PXG irons, the 0311 GEN8 irons are five-times forged from an 8620 carbon steel, finished with robotic polishing for accuracy and consistency.

The thing that PXG are most excited about this time around is the new Dual Perimeter Weighting System. It provides a new level of adjustability for irons, giving fitters much more control over CG placement and swing weight.

It moves weight from the centre of the head to the perimeter, increasing MOI whilst allowing for CG tuning through interchangeable weights. Shifting mass to the toe or the heel can alter face position at impact. This helps golfers achieve consistent start lines, before even looking at the lie angle.

PXG have done real player testing with this technology, and nearly all golfers experienced a notable change in face-to-path at impact.

PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons

There are three distinct models in the range – PXG 0311 GEN8 T (Tour), GEN8 P (Players) and GEN8 XP (Xtreme Performance).

The GEN8 T has a compact head shape and minimal offset, encouraging more workability and precision as favoured by elite ball strikers.

The GEN8 P has a mid-size profile with balanced forgiveness and control. It offers versatility for a wide range of players.

Finally, the GEN8 XP has more offset, a wider sole, and stronger lofts to produce more distance and forgiveness.

Available now, the irons are offered in either Chrome or Xtreme Dark finishes, with a KBS Tour 120 S shaft and PXG Icon grip as standard. They’re priced at £199 per iron.
