Footprints are a big thing in the world of golf trolleys. Or rather a small thing.
The ability to create a stable trolley with a wide wheel base for performance on the course and work out a way to fold that down to as small a size as possible for transport and storage is the challenge facing all trolley designers.
The latest offering from Sun Mountain, the Reflex, boasts a new folding mechanism that they say makes it one of the easiest to use on the market and its folded dimensions, of 63 cm x 38 cm x 28 cm, point to the fact it will be simple to transport and store. That equates to just 816 cubic centimetres and weighing only 7.65 kg the Reflex is firmly positioned at the light and compact end of the market.
When opened the Reflex is extremely stable with two larger, widely spaced, wheels at the rear complemented by another two smaller wheels at the front. All of the wheels have sealed, precision ball bearings that give the trolley a smooth and reliable ride over all terrains.
Sun Mountain's E-Z Latch System means that the height of the trolley is easy to adjust and this is complemented by two ergonomic and adjustable handles that have a 180 degree range of adjustability so golfers can fine tune the position to allow them to manoeuvre the trolley with their hands and shoulders in the most natural position.
The Reflex has an accessory console with dual padded accessory trays, ball rack and score card holder, with a handle-mounted parking brake and umbrella mount.
