Ping has built a consistent story in apparel over the last couple of years thanks to their Sensor Platform, offering a range of products that fit into its Dry, Warm and Cool categories.
It's a system that is easy to understand and one that continues for the 2017 Autumn/Winter collection that represents what Ping say is its most technologically advanced men’s and ladies performance collections to date.
The collection combines modern colour palettes with technical designs utilising proprietary Ping Sensor Platform performance fabric technologies including Pertex and the new PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active, a lightweight, breathable, high-performance thermal insulation, with permanent water resistant technology.
Ping AW17 Collection - Sensor Dry
The Sensor Dry clothing is led by Ping's popular Zero Gravity Tour Suit. Engineered to play and developed in conjunction with feedback from tour players, the Zero Gravity Tour waterproof suit is constructed from ultra-lightweight Pertex Shield 2.5 layer fabric, offering exceptional levels of stretch and breathability (20,000gm/24h), ensuring complete freedom of movement throughout the swing.
Both the jacket and the trouser have been cleverly designed to pack away into its own pocket for optimal convenience and space saving in the golf bag. The pack also features a small hang loop for added convenience.
Ping AW17 Collection - Sensor Warm
Sensor Warm is where we find the PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active material, showcased by the men's Norse jacket and in the ladies Oslo Jacket and Vest.
Ping says the Norse jacket takes cold weather protection for golf to a new level with the new PrimaLoft fabric providing exceptional warmth even in the wet. Breathable, warm and water resistant, the Norse is a jacket offering optimum comfort and performance for golfers in all playing conditions.
The ladies Oslo Jacket and Vest use the PrimaLoft fabric throughout, offering stretch and softness to deliver a functional and fashionable piece for lady golfers to wear on and off the course.
Sensor Warm also features a new addition with the Innis half-zip performance fleece. Utilising an innovative double knit construction between the face and the back of the fabric creates a space that traps air, which provides exceptional insulation to keep golfers warm, even on the coldest days. The innovative fabric also has a water repellent function, keeping the wearer dry in light showers, while a stretch construction provides additional comfort and freedom of movement.
Ping AW17 Collection - Sensor Cool
Leading the way for Sensor Cool is the Crosby Long Sleeve Polo. Featuring a blend of synthetic and natural fibres, the soft touch Crosby long sleeve polo is the perfect layering solution. Offering permanent moisture movement properties for long-term performance, the Crosby also features detailed styling in the form of a concealed button down collar and a three button placket.
For ladies there is the Tara Top that features a stylish shaped neck and combines moisture movement performance and quick dry properties, to deliver a desirable winter layering piece. With stretch and crease resistant properties, the unique, eye-catching design delivers an elegant, feminine feel, on and off the course.
