Galvin Green has announced a new range of garments to help prepare golfers for all conditions this winter, continuing their emphasis on the layering method that has seen them become market leaders in the field.
After serving as Official Weatherwear Suppliers to the victorious 2018 European Ryder Cup Team, an eight-piece Carbon series has been released in Black, Grey and Silver colour schemes. It features waterproof and windproof jackets, a warm layer garment and two shirts, along with accessories such as a snood, belt and cap.
Brand Manager Nicholai Stein explains the inspiration for the new collection:
The Carbon Series is a special line of premium clothing that’s perfectly interchangeable and designed to appeal to golfers who may be new to Galvin Green, as well as many loyal supporters of our Multi-Layer Concept.
Galvin Green Archie Jacket
The Archie Jacket, a waterproof full-zip jacket, features the lightweight and stretchy Gore-Tex material with a C-Knit slide and glide backer to give you complete range of movement. This is supported by Super-Stretch Gore-Tex inserts in certain areas which require more flexibility. The jacket also utilises Vectran technology on the shoulders to provide more comfort for those who prefer to carry their clubs.
The jacket also contains adjustable chest and collar width for complete comfort, shaped sleeves for ease of movement and water-repellent zips and front pockets.
The waterproof Axel Trousers are the matching bottoms and also feature the same Super-Stretch Gore-Tex fabric and C-Knit backer, with 17 different size combinations across waist and leg length.
Galvin Green Lloyd and Lancelot Interface 1 Jackets
Interface-1 technology is not new for the Carbon series - as we learnt all about it with Galvin Green’s UK Managing Director Greg Pearce back in March - but features two new additions in the form of the full-zip Lloyd in a brave, eye-catching shiny silver and the Lancelot half-zip in black.
Both jackets are water-repellent and boast chest pockets and elastic hem drawstrings. Galvin Green claim that these jackets are among the most versatile on the market, so much so that they claim they can be worn in 95 out of 100 rounds.
Galvin Green Dave Jacket
Of course, no Galvin Green collection would be complete without a layering option, and the Dave jacket is exactly that. The full-zip garment is part of the Insula range designed to keep you warm whilst out on the course, without feeling too bulky.
Galvin Green Matt and Mylo Ventil8 Plus Shirts
The two carbon shirts are the Ventil8 Plus short-sleeved Matt in black and iron grey, and the Mylo in Black & Silver. Featuring contemporary patterns, these polos are bound to get people talking when you arrive on the first tee.
Galvin Green Donny and Wayne Accessories
The Carbon Series is completed by the accessories, notably the Donny snood (pictured at top), which again employs Insula fabric, and the premium Wayne adjustable leather belt that will appeal to golfers who enjoy a combination of classic looks with a sleek twist.
