For the last few years, FootJoy's mantra for both apparel and footwear has been to 'Make Every Day Playable' and this continues with the unveiling of the new AW22 Apparel range, which is highlighted by the ThermoSeries collection.
Building on the success of the HydroSeries outerwear of 2021, the new clothing range is designed specifically to protect golfers against colder weather.
FootJoy ThermoSeries Range
The ThermoSeries represents FootJoy's latest example of the layering technique, where all of the garments are designed to be worn in conjunction with each other to provide thermal protection against the elements.
The range has been developed with the aim of tackling the conditions during the European winter. Across the collection there is a neutral colour palette, with navy and charcoal mixed with blue, grey and white stone for plenty of versatility.
This combines with different patterns and textures on the fabrics, to add more of a premium look and feel when up close.
ThermoSeries Hybrid Jacket
The brushed back jacquard knit fabric provides the golfer with the fleece-like luxury feel and uses a cire finish to offer contrast and material interest through its matt aesthetic. An adjustable collar with chest and open hand pockets
delivers practicality and comfort.
SRP: £130
ThermoSeries Vest
The ThermoSeries vest defines the range with a traditional look elevated through technology and richness in detail. The stretch, knit section down the back of the garment enhances mobility through the swing, while the subtle jacquard hex pattern adds visual interest and great material feel.
SRP: £115
ThermoSeries Hybrid Midlayer
A staple garment in any golfer’s year-round wardrobe, the ThermoSeries midlayer uses a super soft, two tone Jacquard knit fabric for ultimate feel with rubber zipper and logo elevating the contemporary look. Moisture wicking and UV protection ensure that the ThermoSeries midlayer equips the golfer no matter the season.
SRP: £85
ThermoSeries Baselayer
Key to creating warmth without bulk, the hex jacquard fabric of the baselayer creates small ridges sitting off the skin, allowing air to circulate and preventing overheating on the course in changeable conditions. The raglan sleeve construction and golf compression fit ensure freedom of movement throughout the golf swing.
SRP: £60
ThermoSeries Trouser
The ThermoSeries Trouser features a tapered fit and stretch fleece fabric providing quality aesthetics and feel. A DWR finish protects the golfer in light rain, whilst the gripper waistband prevents a tucked shirt from riding up.
SRP: £95
FootJoy HydroSeries Range
Complimenting the AW22 collection, the HydroSeries jackets have been updated with a number of bold new colours to freshen up FootJoy's outerwear range.
The three panel construction of the HydroTour sees sapphire, deep red and charcoal tones added to serve as a 'statement piece' in even the harshest conditions.
This colour palette is also replicated in the more lightweight HydroLite and the versatile HydroKnit.
Cold Weather Range
The AW22 is also complemented by FJ's cold weather options, headlined by FootJoy's first ever puffer-style jacket. The Active Insulation Jacket has vertical elastic stretch panels across the back, and merges lifestyle trends with golf performance for both precision and comfort whilst playing golf.
The range also introduces a new Thermal Hoodie alongside improvements to the FJ Hybrid Jacket, and a range of new colours for the midlayers.
FootJoy AW22 Women's Range
FootJoy is continuing its aim to provide a comprehensive apparel range with a new collection that is specifically dedicated to the needs of female golfers.
The range is headlined by a new HydroLite Jacket (£165) with matching trousers (£120) in 'neutral and seasonal' colour options.
A new Hybrid Jacket provides a new outerwear option, with a soft stretch jersey knit fabric and insulated panels for thermal retention.
The popular Insulated Reversible Vest offers two different designs in one, and has new colour options. It is ideal as a lighter weight outerwear or layering option.
Other layering options include a Jersey Quilted Midlayer, Houndstooth Midlayer, Full-Zip Lined Pullover and Full-Zip Hoodie. These provide seasonal looks with comfortable and warm fabrics, suited to both on and off course wear.
