Big Max is best known for its range of innovative push golf carts such as the Blade+ and Autofold+.

The Quad range takes the proven reliability of Big Max technology into the electric trolley market with the first two models being the Hunter Quad and the Coaster Quad Brake.

Big Max UK Managing Director Ian Waddicar explains the move into the powered market:

We knew that any electric carts we introduced had to match the quality and innovation expected from Big Max products. The Quad series more than lives up to those expectations and we're delighted to be able to provide a fantastic Big Max electric cart for customers who already love our bags and push trolleys.

As the Quad name suggests both of the trolleys use a four wheel base that provides extreme stability without sacrificing manoeuvrability thanks to the rotating front wheels. These feature individual suspension for a smoother ride and can be locked into place easily if the user requires.

The benefit of the solid foundation is that it distributes weight evenly across the chassis to reduce individual areas of stress and therefore extend the life of the trolley.

The Hunter Quad and Coaster Quad Brake are both driven by a whisper quiet 230V motor that provides all the power needed to tackle any course and both trolleys come with a lithium battery as standard. A full charge will give you 27 holes on a reasonably flat course whilst at least 18 are guaranteed on even the hilliest tracks.

Both feature the same impressive specs with a controlled distance function of up to 60 yards, speed settings, a battery level indicator and distance measurement. All of these are shown on the brightly coloured electronic display that sits on the height adjustable handle.

The handle also houses a GPS holder as well as a compartment for a solar charger (sold separately) that will trickle charge all your electronic gadgets.

The two models differ as the Coaster Quad Brake boasts an electronic parking brake and differential gearbox which regulates the speed of the trolley to walking pace when going downhill.

Both trolleys fold down into a compact footprint making them easy to transport and store. The Big Max Hunter Quad has an RRP of £699 and the Coaster Quad Brake has an RRP of £799.
