Who? 29 year-old American Brooks Koepka
What? The 2019 WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational, his third win of the season and first WGC win
Where? TPC Southwind, Memphis, Tennessee
How? Starting the final round one stroke behind Rory McIlroy, Koepka carded a fantastic final 65 to end up comfortable winner, mixing power off the tee with clinical putting to clinch his first WGC title and hand another blow to a flat McIlroy, and stretching his lead at the top of the FedEx Cup and World Rankings.
Following the victory, Koepka said:
This is really special to me. I've been playing so well of late. Everything just comes if you let it happen. If you keep putting yourself in contention, a lot of good things can happen.
