Srixon's Z 355 driver is the flagship for what it calls Action Mass Technology, the result of extensive research by Srixon into developing golf clubs that maximise the potential for players to make a successful, and more importantly, a consistent, swing.
Through extensive player and digital simulation testing, Srixon has discovered that the best way to help Game-Improvement players is by a combination of concentrating more weight in the club head and raising the balance point of the shaft.
This combination works to give greater stability to the head and transfers more kinetic energy to the ball at impact for longer and more accurate shots.
Srixon has worked with shaft makers Miyazaki to allow them to push the limits of graphite shafts and they use the new Jinsoku model that has an ultra-high balance point and stable mid section for maximum efficiency and control.
In fact the head of the Z 355 weighs in at 211g, which is 5g more than its nearest category competitor, supporting Srixon's theory of performance through increased head weight. However the shaft and grip combination means the total club weight comes in at only 312g, 3g less than the competition.
This increased speed works with other aspects of the Z 355 driver to deliver maximum performance. A Ti Booster Cup Face gives an enlarged sweet spot ensuring that speed is transferred across the whole club face and the head itself has a high MOI design for added forgiveness and stable flight direction.
The 450cc head gives a generous and confidence boosting footprint at address and four loft options of 9.5, 10.5, 12.0 and 14.5 degrees give a range of starting lofts to suit all swing types.
Those lofts can be adjusted using Srixon's Quick Tune System (QTS) adjustable hosel, allowing players to precisely fine tune ball flight with 12 unique settings for loft, lie and face angle.
