In the heart of the golf season, Ping has launched the G430 LST fairway wood, utilising multi-material technology and incorporating well-established innovations such as Carbonfly Wrap, Ti-Facewrap, and Spinsistency, aiming to unlock enhanced speed and increased distance for golfers.

Ping G430 LST Fairway Wood

The G430 LST fairway wood is Ping's tour-style design and low-spinning option compared to the Ping G430 Max Fairway Wood, by combining a 2041 Beta-Ti face, Ti 8-1-1 body, and an 80-gram tungsten sole plate, the CG of the club is effectively positioned low and back.

This strategic placement is said to result in accelerated ball speeds while minimising spin and ultimately increasing your distance.

“We’re excited to bring this score-lowering technology to golfers during the heart of the golf season to give them a long and versatile three-wood to help them lower their scores and raise their enjoyment on the course. The lightweight properties of titanium and the density of tungsten open a lot of possibilities to improve performance. The results are phenomenal. The G430 LST 3-wood goes forever and sounds amazing. It’s already in the bags of Tour players around the world. We look forward to getting the new fairway wood in the hands of golfers who want the best of multi-material technology.”

Ping G430 LST Fairway Wood

Incorporating a variable-thickness, high-strength titanium face that extends into both the crown and sole, the lightweight titanium body enables increased flexion, said to result in accelerated ball speed and enhanced launch.

Furthermore, the utilisation of a titanium body in conjunction with an 80-gram tungsten sole plate of high density is aimed to ensure the CG is positioned lower and farther back. This strategic placement is designed to facilitate higher launch angles, reduced spin, and extended shot distances.

Featuring a low-profile, 169cc head, the club is said to benefit from the renowned Spinsistency technology. The club face design incorporates a variable roll radius, aimed to optimise performance across the face and particularly benefiting shots struck low on the face by reducing spin and increasing distance.

Building upon the success of the MAX and SFT (Straight Flight Technology) designs, the LST (Low Spin Technology) fairway wood completes the collection. The LST fairway wood features the Carbonfly Wrap crown, designed to optimise distance. By strategically positioning CG lower and closer to the force line, this technology is aimed to maximise ball speed.

With an 8-layer composite crown, the G430 fairway wood has a weight reduction of approximately 5.5 grams when compared to traditional titanium crowns. This composite crown extends into the heel and toe areas, aimed to effectively redistribute weight to achieve a lower CG and enhance ball speed.

The composite crown weighs 8.5 grams and is said to play a significant role in producing a delightful sound upon impact, adding to the overall appeal of the club.

The Ping G430 LST fairway wood is available to buy at an RRP of £550.
