Callaway has introduced the latest generation of their premium Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X Golf, which have been redesigned to generate more speed and distance whilst still providing the extra feel and spin desired by better players.
Dr Alan Hocknell, Callaway SVP of R&D, commented:
We've reinvented Tour ball performance again with our new Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X. Redesigning both models from the inside out allows us to give golfers more of what in a Tour ball - long distance, great feel and a spin profile that promotes low spin on full shots and high spin around the green.

The graphene-infused Dual SoftFast Core is said to maximise compression energy thanks to a 34% larger inner core, which provides higher launch and lower spin.
A new 'mantle system' features a proprietary ionomer which promotes faster ball speed and a penetrating ball flight by transferring energy more consistently.
The Chrome Soft is known for providing a soft feel and the new ball is going to continue thanks to a new, thinner Tour Urethane Cover. This cover is resilient and combines with the core and mantle to achieve great levels of feel.
The aerodynamic design has been modified with a new dimple pattern which produces lower drag, helping to generate a little more distance and a higher ball flight.

Callaway say that this is the 'fastest and most advanced' ball they have ever made, designed to deliver maximum distance for better players.
This distance comes firstly from a new high speed core and Dual Mantle system. The inner core of the Chrome Soft X is larger and generates higher ball speeds, and this is especially evident in the longer clubs and off the tee.
The solid core design is enclosed by the Dual Mantle, working alongside the core to maximise 'compression energy' at impact.
A Soft Inner Mantle and firmer Outer Mantle work to create faster ball speeds off the club face, whilst more speed also comes from a 15% thinner Urethane Cover, which also increases greenside spin and control.
A new aerodynamic pattern reduces drag to provide even longer distance and a consistent trajectory.
The Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X balls will be available from 2nd April at an RRP of £39.99 per dozen. They are available in white, yellow, Truvis and Triple Track varieties.
