Adidas has announced its latest line of cutting-edge footwear for 2020, CodeChaos, which they say is pushing the boundaries and challenging the definition of traditional golf shoes.
It ties in with Adidas' belief that golfers should be free to express themselves on the golf course and display their natural personality through both their golf and their look.
Masun Denison, global footwear director at adidas Golf, commented:
Golf continues to evolve and is in an exciting phase right now where the traditions of the game and how it can be played are all being challenged. We're excited about this movement which has inspired us to break down barriers and create unique footwear and apparel for anyone that picks up a club.
CodeChaos is meant to challenge what a golf shoe can look and feel like while still delivering top-notch performance to all golfers whenever or wherever they play.
The eye-catching aesthetic of the CodeChaos shoes (£129.95) is meant to be progressive whilst also providing a smooth connected look down to the ground.
A new technical spikeless outsole is comprised of a soft yet durable rubber outsole, with a new unique TPU insert. This traction system - which the brand are calling Twistgrip - was focused thanks to using heat maps to determine how golfers focus their weight during the motion of the golf swing.
The CodeChaos upper is made of a multi-layer mesh which gives the shoe a unique texture that is both durable and breathable, aswell as remaining lightweight. These layers are encased in a film to ensure waterproof protection, to keep your feet dry regardless of how bad the conditions may be.
Golfers will also benefit from Adidas' well-regarded Boost cushioning which runs the length of the shoe, and provides all-round comfort and energy return throughout the course of the round.
The new CodeChaos line also features a high-top model, complete with Boa technology for a standout look. The CodeChaos Boa (£149.95) is waterproof, with a stretch-knit collar for a lightweight slip-on design.
The L6 Boa Fit System gives players a 'customised and locked-in' feel, and makes it even easier to get your shoes on and off before and after your round.
There is also a CodeChaos Sport (£109.95) option for men which is built with a rubber spikeless outsole and features an even lighter construction, aiding versatility.
This option will still contain the same waterproof construction of the other models, and uses both Boost and Bounce cushioning to keep golfers comfortable every step of the way.
The three CodeChaos models will come in a wide array of vibrant colours for both men and women, and will be available from 31st January worldwide.
